My Doberman Puppy Had A Bump On His Head

Yesterday, I noticed that my dog who is a one and a half year old mix between lab/terrier/dalmatian had a huge bump/knot on her head. I'm worried that it's something serious but my husband seems to think its just a wasp sting. We have a wasp nest that's been in our backyard for a while but its at the back of the yard where the dogs rarely go.

Anyways he is awesome but he has a lump on his head between his two ears. I know the puppies usually have this lump but it seems a little big. The vet who I saw said he didn't know dobermans ever had bumps on their head but he thinks its cartilage.

My Puppy Helga is a 3 m/o doberman. She is very active and got her head caught in a lattice. I think she put her head in to grab hold of some thing, but it would not come out. The lattice is just a series of squares that act as a fence between my dogs and my vegetable garden. She must have struggled to pull her head out for a while and some how. My 11 week old Blue Doberman has a bunch of tiny bumps on his head. They don't seem to itch or bother him. I picked him up from a breeder at 7 weeks and he had flees on him. I gave him a bath and he no longer has flees although the bumps are still there. They seem to be spreading a little bit... The vet gave us a shampoo: Sevolux.. medicated shampoo for dogs, cats and horses. I recently adopted a Doberman puppy who had a white bump on his head. His breeder said that it was normal and would clear up with the correct medicated shampoo (she also showed us his sister, who had lots of them). She said that they were "plugged hair roots" or something like that, and I just assumed that because my pup only had one, it would naturally go away. My 3 month old female red doberman puppy has had a lump appear on the top of her head in between her ears. It's not soft. It hasn't gotten bigger. She doesn't act any different. If anything, she is improving with time her coordination, agility, focus, stamina, etc. He appetite hasn't changed. She eats and sleeps just fine.

Then a friend of ours suggested that he might be allergic to something in his food. so we changed his food and within a few days they appeared to be going away and within a couple weeks they were all gone. hope this helps. Welcome to the club! Asha got it too remember. She bumped her head agains the table. It took a while to go away. It is bursta or hematoma. My vet could not determine exactly what it was. I decided not to do X-rays. A young puppy don't need X-rays on the head if any chance a bump may go away on its own. I will post Asha's pictures with a bump later.
