My only experience with something like that is my in-laws' Airedale terrier. He has a skin disorder that makes him smell pretty bad. I'm almost certain that it's a genetic disorder within the Airedale breed though, so I'm not sure if it would affect a lab. It might be worth looking into though.

My lab puppy is so bad. If so, you're not alone. All that biting is actually perfectly normal canine behavior, but it does need to be discouraged early on to prevent it becoming a (bad) habit.. Nipping or biting is VERY RARELY a sign of aggression or that you have a 'bad' puppy. It's simply the way puppies play and communicate. If your puppy has bad breath that is not going away, mention it to your veterinarian. Photo: tobyotter There’s normal puppy breath, which has a distinct odor …. And then there’s sick puppy breath, meaning the puppy has something wrong creating an abnormal odor from the mouth.. Very young puppies have a distinct smell to their breath, lovingly called puppy breath. My 10 week old Lab puppy who we got at 7 weeks old will not stop biting my older dog in the jowls and on the legs, my poor boxer is such a sweet guy he doesn’t want to hurt the puppy so he doesn’t stick up for himself enough. He makes the boxer bleed and is stressing him out a lot. Does anyone have any ideas. Determine why your lab puppy is acting aggressive. Labrador retriever puppies require lots of exercise and lots of mental stimulation. A lab puppy who is not able to exert its energy or who is bored may become frustrated and turn that excess energy into aggression, states the website EarthRenewal.org. Walk with your lab puppy at least once a day and keep it occupied with interactive toys and.

Channel Your Puppy’s Energy In A Positive Way – Instead of letting your puppy go nuts running around the house uncontrollably try engaging in a game on your terms by teaching you puppy to fetch. Our little Bear is a Golden Retriever so fetching his toys comes naturally and he enjoys playing the game. My Lab puppy, Bear, is really bad! He uses the bathroom on the carpet when he's in. We built him a pen and he got out! He bit my grandma and totally sliced her finger open! I once locked him in the bathroom while we were out and when we came back, our bathroom was torn apart! He nearly knocked a shelf on the wall off, got into the garbage can, had toilet paper all over the place and had sprung. Watch for signs of puppy aggression when picked up, especially puppy nipping, which can quickly turn to puppy biting hands. Although you don’t need to pick up your dog often or carry it, there are times when you will need to do so without fear that your puppy will behave aggressively and bite you. There is a large variety of high-quality puppy food available for you to feed your lab. When looking for a puppy food for your labrador, look at labels that meet the Association of American Feed Control Officials (AAFCO) nutrient profiles for “growth,” “all life stages,” and “including growth of large size dogs.” Foods with these labels meet the nutrient guidelines for the proper.

She is a 6 1/2 month old lab She walks great when its just me and her walking. Or if someone is walking next to me she's okay. Other dogs she will pull some, but then she will stop. But with people, it's awful! She loves people and wants attention so when she sees a person she will pull and pull to get to them because she wants to be petted. And if people stop to let her she will scratch the. I have a five month old male lab puppy who was great,so sweet and attentive. We just brought home a 3 month old female lab puppy. My male lab has turned into a demon. He will not leave the female lab puppy alone. He is jumping on her, biting her and being very aggressive. I don’t know what to do. I am so afraid he is going to hurt her. First, don’t freak out. There could be many reasons your puppy is stinks, and some of them are pretty easy to fix. That said, there are a few health problems you should be aware of, and, of course, if your puppy really stinks, you need to figure out why—just so you don’t have to live with weird dog stench. So there’s a high chance your Lab will bark a hell of a lot at night so yes, behaviour problems may occur. I should also say that Labradors are one of the most social breed of dogs and crave being near their family, they really do want to be inside dogs unless out working during the day.

My experience with Labrador Retriever temperament. Nearly every obedience class I've ever taught has included at least one Lab. That's not because the breed has a lot of behavior problems – they don't – but simply because it's the most popular breed in the United States. And rightfully so. I have a 9 week old lab puppy. We got her when she was 6 weeks old.. walks pretty good on the leash but when he gets in one of his crazy moods and starts the biting he pounces on me bites my eye so bad I want to cry bites my hands my hands are all cut up my arms are bruised I have never hit a dog in my life sometimes I want to poke his. My puppy is 16 weeks old and has been into normal puppy stuff. Nipping, barking, general craziness. I had a rather bad day today and started crying, which is real out of the blue for me. My sweet girl stopped playing with her toy, walked over to put her head in my lap, and licked my hand while she whimpered really softly. Your puppy doesn’t understand your language, either. She doesn’t yet know that those words coming out of your mouth have any meaning. That’s what training is for! Not come when called – See above. Many people seem to think that their puppy should instantly know to come when called right out of the box, so to speak. Nope!
