Training often involves using treats for motivation but Laika loves tug-of-war so much that Jen discovered using a tug toy to play with Laika can be a powerful motivator and reward.
If you've ever thought to yourself, "My dog doesn't like me," or "Why do I have such a standoffish cat?" rest assured that you aren't the only pet parent who has these concerns. From time to time, dogs and cats may appear distant, but that doesn't mean you can't bond with your furry friend and certainly doesn't mean your pet hates you. Guess what? My puppy goes crazy sometimes too.Does this sound familiar: Puppy springs across the room, runs into the wall, jumps up on you, bites your hand, pulls on and tears your pant leg, dives under the couch, sprints back and runs into the screen door…repeat for 30 minutes.
