My Puppy Has A Baby Tooth Dangling
My puppy, Jasmine, is just shy of 5 months old now and she lost a tooth a couple of days ago, but I could see the new tooth coming in, so I was not worried. However, last night my husband called me in a panic saying she had a tooth dangling and she was bleeding a lot and he thought it was one of her canines.
My puppy has a baby tooth dangling. If your puppy is shedding the first teeth (milk teeth), just wait while keeping an eye on it. You want that tooth out of there to make proper room for the permanent teeth but you don't want to yank a tooth on your own out of impatience. Make sure. A retained tooth is a baby tooth that is still present in the mouth after the adult teeth have erupted. The most common teeth to be retained are the upper canine teeth but can happen to any tooth. If this happens to your dog, this can lead to problems such as dental disease no two teeth should be in the same socket at the same time. Dont do anything. It will fall out all by it self. If it is hanging on by a mear thread then pull it out. I have had to pull some of my pups teeth out when he had them just dangling there. Other wise it will fall out on its own. Stop stressing ok. yes, my 6 year old son just lost his first baby tooth today. His adult tooth has been coming in for a couple of weeks now. His baby tooth has been loose for a couple of days & he was very cautious when he would eat. So tonight I asked him if it would be ok for me to wrap dental floss around it & have him pull down to knock it out.

Dental care for a Dachshund (as well as for other breeds) is an important part of a general dog care, since teeth play a significant role in a life of every dog: with the help of teeth they fetch toys and balls, nibble marrowbones and dry food, thus using dentition in as much daily activities as possible. Teeth are one of the main dog "organs" that make it strong and self-confident. My daughter (age 6) pulled a very loose top front tooth out this evening. The tooth came out easily, but there is a dangling piece of her gums left hanging in its place. The tooth itself is hollow, it looks as if the hanging bit of gums came from inside the tooth. My 12 year old just had 4 teeth taken out. Better if the vet takes it out or if it falls out still have the vet see the dog. A root piece could be left which can cause infection. Could be gum disease. My dog still prefers hard food.
When your puppy is about 5 months old he/she will begin to lose their baby teeth.
