It looks like a very exaggerated case of two unpigmented third eye lids....he also seems like his eyes are tired...he keeps closing them...he had his first two sets of shots and is due for the third in two weeks...there is no discharge coming from the eyes....they dont seem irritated....just very tired I suppose.....could this just.

My boxer puppy has red eyes. Inflammation of the Eye in Dogs. Red eye causes the dog's eye to become inflammed and, well, red. This inflammation may be due to various factors, including excess blood in the eyelids (hyperemia) or in the eye's blood vessels (ocular vasculature). This occurs when vessels expand in response to extraocular or intraocular (outside of, and within the eye, respectively) inflammation, or a passive. If the third eyelid begins to move location, it can cover the eye partially or entirely. This looks like a red film which covers the dog’s eye, known as the cherry eyes. You can tell if a dog has cherry eyes if there is red tissue seen on your Boxer’s eyeball, hence the name, cherry eyes. My puppy has red eyes that are oozing and she was just attacking her pillow and the sofa and me and growling and attacking her own leg and her toys.. Today my older boxer dogs eyes are extermly droopy and red. she does not look as if her eyes are staight on when she is looking at me. Otherwise she is exactly the same. Boxer World Forums. After having your Boxer checked out by a reputable and experienced veterinarian you can then rest assured that your Boxer's eye boogers, while a nuisance, are not affecting his or her health. If your puppy or dog has any of the above signs of "what is not normal", do be sure to take them for a checkup. Abby, the boxer, gets red eyes when she's tired (hot pink lips too!) or stressed or playing hard, etc. Vet said all these things can contribute.. So when I picked my puppy up from the breeder at 9 weeks old I was told that he had a "puppy mummer" which apparently is quite common especially in Boxers. I had him into the vet 3 days later for a. If we observe our dog has blood in their eye, redness in the eye or bloodshot eyes, the first thing we need to do is remain calm.If we are agitated it will only further a possibly already agitated canine. We need to examine the eye or eyes. Hold their head gently, but firmly and look at the eye. My dog is quite elderly and has issues with her eyes-well, eye, as she has microphthalmia in one-since we've had her. Her remaining eye is cloudy, has cataracts and a reddish tint to it. She had been diagnosed with dry eye and irritation, and was prescribed three different eye drops. Despite all these meds, her eye is still red and cloudy.

Red eyes in dogs may be permanent or temporary depending on the causative agent. The dog may have one red eye or both bloodshot eyes depending on the causes. Allergies can be contained but underlying health issues or defects can cause permanent redness. Red eyes occur when there are internal or external inflammations on the … ok we know that boxers can get what they call cherry eye but are very unsure what that really is. i understand i can just look it up on google. but my boxer puppy is almost 4 months old and every now and then the whites of his eyes turn red.. is this a sign that he might have cherry eye. or might it me something else Some bloodshot eyes may cause a slight problem as a slight irritation or by rubbing against someone's leg or because the dog has got some nasty dirt in the eyes. But it can also be something more serious like an acute glaucoma (increased intraocular pressure) which can cause loss of vision in the eye - it's true. They are two very different things in origin and evolution, and they even need. Many conditions can turn a dog's eyes red. While sometimes it's caused by minor irritation, red eyes can be a sign of a serious eye condition. These include canine glaucoma, uveitis, keratoconjunctivitis sicca, and Horner's syndrome. A trip to the vet is important to diagnose and treat your dog.

If your dog has red eyes but otherwise seems healthy, it may be a less obvious problem. Long-haired dog breeds can get eye redness if the fur around their eyes is poking and scratching the eyeball. And while many pooches love sticking their head out of a car window, bugs and dirt can hit them in the face, or the wind can cause severely dry eyes. At this link about 1/2 way down the page you can see the different types of eyes that a boxer can have and on the same page 3/4 of the way down is a picture of a dog's eyes with unpigmented haws (third eye lid) and a loose lower eye lid. Rocky is my nine month old boxer, He is in excellent health. My concern is his eye. Since the day we got him, his eye has been red and droopy. Vet said it was allergies, gave us eye drops. However that did NO good. Tried different ones, and still no result. He doesnt scratch it, doesn't seem to bother him at all. Like all dogs, your boxer has three eyelids, the third of which is located in the corner of each eye. Normally, you don't see this eyelid, which houses a tear gland and helps him make tears. Occasionally the gland will come out of its position and swell, giving your pup a red eye.
